Air Force One Thanks Food Manufacturers by Volunteering with Mid Ohio Food Collective

Our Central Ohio office (located in Dublin, Ohio) recently participated in two Service to Other’s days at The Urban Farm and The Mid-Ohio Food Bank, both part of the Mid-Ohio Food Collective.

Volunteering at the Urban Farm consisted of planting seedlings and trees, hanging netting over the vertical farming pots, picking up trash, and preparing hundreds of pots for planting. These efforts helped staff at The Urban Farm prepare for the coming season. Our team volunteered in recognition of long-time client T. Marzetti Company and all food manufacturing companies that worked tirelessly throughout the pandemic to keep everyone fed. At the Mid-Ohio Food Bank our team participated in food sorting & packing, helping sort and repackage over 12,000 pounds of donations the organization received from it’s retail partners.

The Mid-Ohio Food Collective provides roughly 140,000 meals every day to help stabilize families, connect hungry neighbors with community services helping them toward economic sufficiency and energize the community to address root causes of hunger so everyone thrives.

Serving Others is a founding Air Force One principle, and we believe that our success as a company should help us help others to be successful. All Air Force One associates are given three “Service to Others” or STO days annually. The purpose of the Service to Others philanthropic program is to support activities that enhance and serve communities in which we live and work.

Associates can choose a charity of their choice or work together with other Air Force One associates on a team effort. Air Force One is so proud of our associates who utilize this program, and we hope to see many more days of service performed in 2021!
